Guidelines for Regional Coordinator
ACCOUNTABILITY:
The Regional Coordinator is responsible and reports to the Regional Coordinating Council.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A. Implement
Implement goals, policies, and develop strategies or ministries for church planting and development of churches in the region.
Works with the EFCP President in the implementation of the programs for the region.
B. Coordinate
Coordinate/facilitate training seminars for pastors and lay leaders in the region.
Point of contact for the region, and represents the region for outside meetings.
Collect and file reports and profiles of churches and workers in the region.
Conduct regular visits to the churches or district leaders in the region.
C. Assist
Assist the Regional Coordinating Council on the following:
Troubleshoot problems of churches and workers in the region.
Recruitment, licensing, and placement of workers.
Organize ministry organizations such as Women’s, Men’s, Youth, and Children.
Production of Newsletter and/ or Updates for the region.
TERM OF OFFICE:
Serve for a 2-year term renewable up to three consecutive terms.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Licensed Minister of the EFCP for at least 5 years.
Computer literate
Skill in communication
Has time and commitment to the task
Skill and ability to work with others
Good standing within the EFCP and the community, and generally accepted by the churches
Physically fit and emotionally healthy
Willing to travel
Endorsed by the Regional Coordinating Council
SELECTION AND PLACEMENT:
The Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) selects the Regional Coordinator.
The local church gives consent to the appointment of their pastor as Regional Coordinator.
The EFCP president approves the appointment of the Regional Coordinator.
OTHERS:
The nature of work is part-time until such time that the RCC is capable to hire full-time.
A local church pastor can do the job with the approval of the congregation.
The main support comes from the EFCP national budget, but the region can also initiate ways for additional funding.
